Is Jude Judy's show real?

I just don't believe that an American court case can accurately been wrapped up in convenient 8 minute segments. Judy Judy seems to judge cases on her feelings toward the "contestants." Not much actual evidence is considered. It's just a "He said/she said" situation much of the time. I wonder if this is actually recognized as a legal enforcible court ruling or perhaps the contestants sign a waiver beforehand to go with her judgment. Can you back this up with a credible source? Secondary Question, why would people be crazy enough to go on her show? (no source needed for that)
