Which is a better band in the late 70's and the 80's?

This is between AC/DC and Van Halen. Personally I think AC/DC is a better band but I think Eddie Van Halen is a much better guitarist than Angus Young but I cant stand Sammy Haggar. Opinions? additional inputs are welcome.
